Oil Leaking from Diverter Valve/Cut off Valve

So I went for a service oil change at a VW dealership where they told me that the turbo cut-off valve (or diverter valve, whichever is more appropriate to state that exists in a MK6 GTI) needs to be replaced. My problem is that I had the same problem over 15 months ago during another oil change. Is it true that the OEM diverter valve in a 2011 VW GTI uses diaphragm functions instead of a piston. Do I have the diverter valve replaced with another OEM part but that has a piston? If so, which part is the one with a piston in ECSTuning.com (a nice distributor company). Also are there any blow-off/diverter valves that acts as kit with no other needs for different parts or that are complicated to install?
