I've run winter tires on VW OEM steel wheels for going on five salty, slushy seasons now. There's a bit of rust that's accumulated in the 'corners' (the deep inset parts) of the wheel, and I'd naturally like to sand it out and repaint using something like Tremclad.
Just wondering if anyone has touched up these wheels and using what preferred paint. They're a matte black. I suppose if colour matching is an inevitable issue, I could spray a coat on the entire surface of each, but I'd like to avoid that if possible.
