Yep... just pd $72(USD $56) to fill up with Premium. Thats about 15$ more than this time last yr. $70/barrel is stinging... least im not in BC where i have to decide if Im eating or driving today

The sticker on my GTI's gas door. Looks like the minimum is 91 octane.

I would say that says min 95 RON (research octane number) I donít know what the (R+M)2 91 means? But I would say itís suggesting you can use the lower octane as long as you add an additive or octane booster to it ?!??! But thatís only a guess!

Hereís my sticker, it states 95 RON only!

Ok so I now see that 95 RON = 90 or 91 in the US using the (R+M)/2 method, i.e. the RON + MON and divide by 2, Which makes sense since according to Wiki RON is 8-10 points higher than the equivalent (US) MON rating (which I believe is 85) That article also shows that 95 RON = 90 or 91 in the US using (R+M)/2. Every dayís a school day!! Or so they say.
