Another reason for the long reply was because I was keeping in consideration that you'll generally hear more horror stories than good ones.

Does anyone have or have access to the exact manufacturer and model number of the stock clutch on the MK6? Maybe there's a pdf out there with the actual ratings.

I keep hearing it's the same clutch as the golf R and is rated to 250 ft/lbs.

I have trouble with the idea that a stock clutch is going to be right on the money with hp and torque. I'd like to think they'd build these clutches with the anticipation that they're gonna get beat on.

As far as driving styles -

Don't treat every stop sign and red light like it's a tree at a track.

I have just shy of 125k on my stock clutch, ECU is has never been tuned. Some life changes coming up that may lead to less penny pinching, so if that works out I'll let everyone know how it holds. My guess is that the transmission is coming out sooner than later anyway.

Note: I don't baby the car, I'm just really good at getting the car moving quickly without riding the clutch. After 125k miles on the stock tune it's all muscle memory. Quick slip at just over idle with XDS slightly engaging, full throttle, and ease off just a bit as boost builds.

If you're at 125k on the stock clutch, that's pretty amazing.

Unless 5,000 other people come out of the woodwork talking about getting 100k easy out of the stock clutch.
