ah im fine with it. all i was saying is it doesnt shine like other colors. but i like the fact its a pretty stealthy color, and doesnt get much attention from cops.

Hey guys,

I'm looking to get my car tinted this weekend. Any suggestions on what %tint to use so not to attract too much attention from the cops in NYC? My previous car was silver and had a 35% Front and 20% back and it didnt look too dark.

Any suggestions are welcomed!

I would say 35% all around just to avoid getting harassed.

Would you happen to have a pic handy? It would definitley help on my decision :)

Just a note on state laws:

I got 35% on my car back in the day, and even though that was the legal limit and I thought I was good, I was ticketed and ordered to remove it because the stock glass had a trivial amount of tint in it. Not enough for me to ever have noticed, but enough to violate the Statie's meter.

That being said, I've seen some near perfect installs, but so many are mickey moused and look terrible.
