Hey Guys,

after researching the various coilover setups currently available on the market, we've noticed there is a gap in the market for a setup that is:

1) Offers premium real-world features, at an affordable price point
2) Offers local (North American and European) facilities for rebuild and servicing

there are a lot of generic setups available on the market at the moment, however, they are basically all the same/similar setup (i.e generic) and have not changed over the past 15 years, with prices ranging from $1000-2000; the more expensive only being due to the "brand" and the "assembled in XXX label" rather than the design features (the components are all still manufactured in China, Taiwan or Korea)

of course, rather than reinventing the book, it is best to stick to tried-and-tested designs (especially for the street car) hence why all the current setups available are similar.

Hi Stephen – Thanks for offering more options for our suspension. I have a bunch of questions about these coilovers:
1. Are the shocks monotube or twin tube?
2. Are the shocks rebuildable?
3. Are the shocks made in Taiwan or China?
4. How do you adjust the front shocks: A) on top (engine accessible) or B) on the bottom (reach around the tire)?
5. How do you adjust the rear shocks: A) on top (need to remove the shocks from the car) or B) on the bottom (reach around the tire)?
6. Are the springs linear or progressive?
7. Are there other spring rates available?
8. What is the warranty on the coilovers?
9. What is the height adjustment range?
10. Are sway bar end links included, and if so, are they adjustable?
11. What do you mean by “looking for drivers to help us test”?

Have you guys tested these in various climates? For example, I went with Bilsteins because I know that those PPS systems last in extreme heat and cold, which is okay for the salt belt in the US. I've seen dozens of cars with these things installed, daily driven, and rarely problems. Vs. nicer coilovers like Ohlins which are more performance oriented and not good at all when exposed to snow, ice, and salt.

Are these more performance oriented and therefore less reliable for daily drivers?

Our target market for our custom-spec coilovers is for daily drivers (not race cars), so they will be designed to be fully resistant to weather/salt.

Is this offer available only for US/NA people. I'm atm looking for new set of coilovers for my mk6 GTI . I live in Finland, the land of huge temperature changes and lots of salt on every road so it would be perfect testing-ground for things like coilovers.

Why adjustable shock bodies?

I think you guys could be on to something I love everything so far but a few thoughts

Linear springs definietly not progressive. Market is already flooded with progessive spring kits.

4 way adjustable inverted monotubes would be ideal of course but cost could prevent true 4 way adjustments. If 4 way is too costly then 2 way at a minimum even if price needs to be increased.

Lowering range should be minimum drop ie. as close to stock ride height as possible maximum drop 2" or 2.5" (to cater to people who want to get low for the sole purpose of selling more kits) so long as it can be done without increasing the min drop

Love the dust covers on both front and rear dampers

Swift or Hyperco springs would be best simply because of the name.

Customer chosen spring and damper options

About the most popular coilovers it seems the budget kits are most popular Solowerks, FK and the shop branded kits like NGP and USP. I personally have Bilstein B14s and love them.

This separates ride-height adjustment from spring pre-load i.e You can adjust the ride-height without affecting the pre-load on the springs. With coilover kits that rely solely on adjusting the spring height, the lower you go, the stiffer they become.

As these are being developed initially for the street/weekend market, we need to keep costs down. We have the capability to manufacture 2 ways though with separate reservoir, but these won't be designed until we've established these initial sets
