DavServic, izzat your car? I am floored by the blingity bling blinky of ewer wheels... Uhhh... Man, I want so hard. And you are all the way across country, nobody can say, oh, you're running the wheels Dave is running now? Pffffft!!! (Double facepalm of shame)

So, what are these, and in what specs? Your FTG looks to be about 24.5" or so. I am right around there myself. So are you running a bbk up front? Any clearance issues? Fender work? Camber plates in front?

I am really thinking hard about what I like in a wheel, and it involves clean bare metal, lip, face... The basics. What kills me is I can go $5k plus or $500 and get a set that the average joe will think looks identical. Shite.

EDIT: and to think of all the $$ I blew on K04 turbo, various piping, 2 intercoolers, 3 clutches, Helical LSD, tune, 2 intakes, all kinds of bs oem+ mods, and several sets of rep wheels, when with that money I could've been bagged and notched with a different set of modular wheel for each of the 6 years I had the car... (I'm only half kidding about this. That's how hard I'm loving the bling and the lip and the gorgeousness that is the profile pic of your car...)

EDIT v2.0: Rotiform TMB forged. polished face, step lip standard polished, matching mounting hardware. So specs? BBK, clearance? Are you sick and tired of them and want to run a lightweight motorsports wheel like ADVAN RS'? With cash (natch) on my end?

Hey, yea it's my car!

These are ESR SR04's at 18x8.5 (et30) & 18x9.5 (et35) wrapped in 215/40s. My FTG clearance is a bit lower than 24.5, I think its 24" and sometimes dips into the 23's depending on the weight load or incline.

Im not on a BBK — Just upgraded to GTI brakes from the 2.5L. There was a bit of work to get them to fit but it wasn't anything to difficult. Fender mod screw in the front without camber plates and fender rolling in the front and rear. The rear required a bit of fender pulling to accommodate at my height. Overall all said and done, still scraped here or there in the rear -- I'd recommend camber for the rear in addition.

Yea, never really look at the cost of something as value. The value of the wheel comes to you in quality, structure, rarity, popularity, resale value etc. Worry about whether you like looking at it every time you see it, not what others are going to say. Thats money best spent in my opinion.

I bought coils a little less than a year ago to hold me over and avoid riding at stock height. Picked up some H&R Street Performance coils for a great price and it's held up great thus far. I saved up for a Autopilot V2 and now in the process of putting that in.

Its a 2.5L which means a lot of money for power unfortunately, and mostly in the high-rpm range making it even more ridiculous of a cost for daily driving therefore extreme performance isn't really what I'm after. Upgraded exhaust and intake, for sure but past that, just regular maintenance so to get off tangent, no I really don't concern myself with lightweight wheels.

Yeah, I am not gonna be able to run these specific wheels if you had problems fitting them with regular brakes. I run 255 width tires and wouldn't want to go narrower than 235... I guess wheels with lips are jist going to remain a pipe dream for me on this car til I get tired if driving it hard, or there are fender flare or widebody oprtions that will allow me to run really wide wheels (9.5-10"+). Just like porn, I can look but not touch :(

Oh and I like running non reps if possible, and it's more about how I feel about it when it's a mostely cosmetic item. Like I have n9 problem running ebay downpipes or intercoolers if they function well, but I don't like how it feels to run rep show parts like wheels or lug nuts or something like that. Just me. Not based on your opinion about that.

Nice looking Golf. Super clean. Wish I could fit those wheels (well, I could, but not without sacrificing so much that at some point it just stops being worth it).
