3M Carbon Fiber + gloss?

I was thinking of wrapping a piece on the lower grill (space surrounding lower mesh) in this 3M carbon fiber. http://www.amazon.com/Carbon-Fiber-Vinyl-Wrap-BLACK-Sheet/dp/B0059XEM9I/ref=pd_sim_auto_3 I want to achieve a really glossy look on top of the carbon fiber. I know gloss spray paint won't give it that extra shine, so do you guys have any suggestions? Thanks

Interesting. Both reviews on amazon say that the wrap from 'simcarbon' looks much more realistic than 3M's DiNoc.

Get one of the photoshop guys to photoshop it for you, that way you can see how it will look before you buy.

Not sure this will work. For one it's a sticker it's not Carbon Fiber. I don't think the clear coat would bond correctly to the sticker. Plus since it is a vinyl sticker it is very flexible and soft where the clear would harden and probably chip off or it just may not dry correctly at all.

If you want an idea how you're hoping it may look OSir makes a CFRP lower grill replacement that is exactly what you are describing.

Buy a gloss carbon fiber wrap :iono:

I wrapped my netbook with some I had left over this weekend.

Bad cell phone pic, but trust me, it's glossy as fuuuuuu.

I'd call that shinny not glossy. No depth to it. Plus it looks like a faded checker board not CF.

Doesn't look like CF pattern, which is what this thread is about. But then again, thats a nice touch to your laptop Was it a bitch to get the corners nice? haha, i wrapped varies parts in my GTI (interior and exterior) and all i can say is, the corners are bloody hard!
