Bluetooth Phone Quality

The other thread on BT audio got me thinking about this. How is the quality of phonecalls through the BT on your systems? Mine is terrible. It’s really high pitched, or should I say, there’s no mid and low end. Sounds almost like it’s mostly coming through the tweeters in the A-frame. Is this normal? I was riding in my wife’s Prius (no laughing) the other day and the quality blew my car out of the water. That ain’t right.

The audio goes in and out on every call, and the other side says there's a ton of background noise even though it's pretty quiet inside the car. Annoying.

Its awful at anything above 40 mph or so. The road noise must get transmitted through the mic. I've played with the sensitivity settings without much luck.

I once had someone say "it sounds like gun shots in the background."

I have read in other threads that disconnecting the Soundaktor helps with the background noise quite a bit.

My Bluetooth phone is horrible as well.
Sound is high and low, not adjustable thru audio volume.
Sometimes it's so low, I can't hear. I had to put on phone speaker mode many times.
I brought it to dealer.
Of course, they see no problem and reset my Bluetooth but no luck.
I want better call quality!!!
Anyone?

'11 here, and I feel the BT is good enough to make a reasonably clear call on when driving on city streets.
