Dear VW, I really love my GTI, but I don't like...

anything that resembles felt on the EXTERIOR of my car.
I think you can get away with just using rubber on the sunroof surround, really.

drying/cleaning the honeycomb(s).
Should I call in some bees to do the job?

seat fabric that isn't made to sit on.
My ass isn't a deadly weapon. Wait, strike that. :(
Any chance for an Interlagos/Leatherette combo?

Your pal,
Danny

I don't get this

I get it.
I have had this car just six months and my sons velcro boots have already torn up the rear seats.
I had my a4 for 9 years and it never wore this easily.
I am worried how these seats will look in a couple of years....

Small sunglass holder, lack of automatick climate control, lace of LED tails. Other than that, thanks VW, job well done!

It doesn't make sense to me - these cloth seats are incredibly durable compared to most I have seen. 30k miles on mine and they look brand new.

Very cool. I only have 1400 miles on mine, but this stuff is as thin as it gets. Makes me think I'd have been better off with leather. *crosses fingers*

Im guessing these seats will not respond well to fire as well :iono:

The tight weave is pretty good.

The actual Interlagos design is good.

The outer parts are horrible. I have wear marks on mine already at 11,460 miles.

I have no idea what you're talking about on this one.

Not that big of a deal.

Should have bought the leather seats.

Or maybe you're just in the wrong car altogether? I've been around lots of different cars and car forums, and everyone complains no matter what car it is, a $24K hatch, a $35K rice rocket, or a $60K BMW.

Here's my $0.02:

I picked my car up for $21,780.

That being said, I LOVE IT.

If you have issues with things, that's what your warranty is for, use it. I will have my seat covers replaced when it gets bad enough. It's no big deal.
