So today, during a nice 3rd to 4th gear WOT run, I popped a CEL when nearing redline in 3rd gear. Checking for codes, it popped P0030 which is "HO2S Heater Control Circuit (Bank 1 Sensor 1)"; funny thing is that back in August, I popped P0130 - 02 Sensor Circuit Malfunction (Bank I Sensor 1) - for the same sensor which was replaced under warranty at my dealership.
What would be a fool-proof way of diagnosing a bad sensor? My dealership at first told me that it is no longer covered but, amazingly enough, called me not 5 minutes later saying "our bad, it should covered under the 15 year emissions warranty" so I'll be bringing it in next week - however, since my car is out of normal bumper to bumper warranty, I want to ensure that there is a problem to avoid getting slapped with a diagnostic fee.
