Driver side door leak

I have noticed my driver side door leaks during heavy rain storms.

The first time it leaked was May 2014, and hasn't happened since until this past monday, May 2015. So only during heavy storms.


Anyone else experience this? Passenger side door seal was dry as anything.

Pics of where its leaking from. It could be a couple different things. Needs pics first.

Just an FYI VW has drain holes in the bottom of all the doors for water that runs down the windows into the door.

Mine leaked above the front doors from the door seals not windows

Door seal, not window seal.

No pics, literally just drips from the top of the door seal. It like "penetrates" the velvety material., like that material is wet, versus passenger side where it completely dry.

It'll drip like one drop per minute in one area along the seal.

Dang, I thought I was the only one.

Only during heavy rains, literally the last time it happened was last year in May.

Did either of you guys bother fixing it or just let it be?

It doesn't seem like a huge issue. I am worried an attempt to fix would just make it worse.

I mean it only rains heavily one month of the year, and the storms last no longer than an hour.
