Filling License Plate Mounting Holes

I thought I would share my extremely amateur bodywork repair. I live in PA and purchased my mk6 from NJ (a front-mount license plate state). Consequently, my bumper had like four little holes in it that I hated looking at. So, after getting tired of looking at the holes, I watched a bunch of youtube videos and deemed myself a bodywork expert. This is the process I took to "repair" my bumper. Please critique my work, this was the first time I've ever done anything like this and I know it's not perfect by any means.

First I removed the bumper which was pretty easy. There's like twenty or so torx screws holding it down.

Next, I sanded down the holes going from 80-300 grit

Then it gets a little bit stupid. I'm an idiot and decided to use glazing spot putty instead of body filler because I thought it would be sufficient for the little holes. So, it taped behind the holes then filled them with the spot putty, and used the spatula thing to get the putty as flush as possible.

After letting that dry for a bit I sanded it back down again going from 80-300 grit

Then I started painting. I did two coats of bondo primer, then 3 coats base, and 3 coats clear letting it dry for about 30 mins between coats

I'm a very impatient person, so I put the bumper back on right after it finished drying and this is what it looked like...

As you can see, there's really harsh lines from my godawful masking job and the paint is pretty hazy. So, a couple of days later I wet-sanded the area with 1500 grit sandpaper then buffed it with a cutting compound, and finally polished it (This would've been much easier with the bumper off). This is how she sits now...

(The overspray on the lower grille isn't there anymore, I rubbed it off with nail polish remover)

Overall I'm pretty happy with how it turned out in the end. Looking back I wish I would've feathered the paint so I didn't get those harsh lines. I also should've done another coat of the putty because it's not completely flush with the bumper. Below I linked the Chris Fix video that I referenced while doing this as well as all the products I used. Hope this helps someone, and feel free to criticize me lol.
