What about using a small L bracket and a nutsert to attach the intercooler?
EDIT: or a flat bar /welded tab on the underside of the bumper beam

Drilling into the crash bar is nearly IMPOSSIBLE if that's what you're referring to. It is hardened steel. Drilling and bolting into plastic radiator support works fine. There is a nut and washer on the other side of that bolt BTW. It is contoured like that due to the shape of the bumper. An L-bracket WON'T WORK.

Sure thing guys.

focusfuri75, I kept the stock one in place (but not utilized) just because I didn't want to bother buying that $175 bracket from Neuspeed. :D There's no need for modification of the crash bar. You just have to make a bracket that attaches to the hard plastic (radiator/hood lock mechanism) support to mount the FMIC. There are two welded mounting tabs on the top of it (FMIC). Make sure they are facing forward so you can reach the holes. You will have to trim a bit of the front bumper (on the back side) underneath the whiskers around the foglights.

Here are the links:

As for mounting the FMIC, grab these items from your local Home Depot/Lowes:

- 1" wide aluminum stick
- (4 each) M12 or M14 nuts and bolts (at least 1" long) (@ the FMIC and plastic radiator support)

FMIC --- www.extremeturbosystems.com
silicone hoses and clamps -- www.ebay.com
aluminum pipes --- www.max-redline.com

all piping are 2.5" along with silicone hoses, unless noted.

These details are going to be a lifesaver for me! I've been looking at custom FMICs lately. Many thanks, man

Any time man. If you need more detailed info, PM me. I did thought about making a DIY but knew a lot of folks wouldn't want to tackle this type of project. Plus, I was short on time since I did this right before heading on my vacation.
