You're right and i apologise if i truly pissed anyone off. That wasn't my intention, but at the same time, i'm not going to sit back and be told that the car i just purchased is driven by "teenagers, 60+ people, and homosexuals".

Put yourself in my place, i just rolled out a brand new Mustang from the dealership to find 10 miles up the road a GTI (most likely stock) that i was also in the market looking to buy and left him standing when we both joined the freeway while accelerating in second gear.

...that's all.

The exige is a car that should sit in the garage during the week, and be taken out as a weekend toy, its not very liveable, but if you were to purchase a toy, its one of the best toys you can buy! It might not be the fastest car on the track, and i havent driven one, but i would imagine that it feels phenomenal on a track:

The Elise first is a track car to begin with, and the Exige takes it up even a notch further. The Exige should destroy the V6 Stang. I've driven a few Elises and it was unbelievable. It's a street legal go-kart - so much fun, so impractical, lol. Honestly guys, the GTI is about as close as you'll get in DD to driving feel of an Elise, imho. Some day, an Elise/Exige will be on the possible shopping list, hopefully in 3-5 years tops. GTI would remain the DD.

Yeah, I'm really questioning those test results - different times, temps, drivers, etc. For the most part, it holds true as many would suspect, but again, without having the same driver during similar weather conditions, its really hard to say.

yeah, I crossed shop allot of cars before I bought my GTI, I was originally gonna by the 2011 5.0 Mustang. Drove it, man it is fast!! Then I looked at all the small stuff, The mustangs interior was really bad compared to the GTI. Cheap low rent chrysler style plastic on the doors. The seat belt chokes you, in my opinion it needs to be redesigned. The fit and finish is horrible. Come guys you can do better. Look at Harley Davidson, beautiful craftmanship!! For the money even with a apr stage 1 chip. We have a excellent crafted machine. The gti is the best value. A base 5.0 sells for a loaded gti, The base 5.0 interior is worse than a kia. Really cheap low end plastic, pleather everywhere. I could go on and on. So to sum up the 5.0 is for trailer trash and gti is for
sophisticated people.
