Help..boost gauage wiring

I bought a boost gauage, but I want to know where did u guy tap the power and ground wire at?

Ground – brown headlight wire (position 6 on harness connector)
Switched 12V – black/purple headlight wire (position 4 on harness connector) -- use an inline fuse
Dimmer – gray headlight wire (position 10 on harness connector)

OR run a proper power wire to the fuse box, and ground it to the dash (metal)

do you know which number is the 12v power in the fuse box?
I bought the car used and don't have the owner menu to look it up.

but you have google. took a single search to find.

The sunroof is a good place to tap into for power, IMO

And if you don't have it, you can use this method to add a fuse to the box for power:

For my boost gauge I tapped into the wires in the headlight switch as per the NewSouth instructions. Shortest way to run the wires but you are splicing.
