ive probably replied to this thread but don't feel like reading back to see if I did.. 35 and all my cars have been boring except this one.
1976 shit brown VW Bug. would have been a lot cooler if it weren't shit brown.
1985 toyota 2wd pickup truck, dont know the model (totaled r.i.p.). solid little truck
1988 Honda Prelude - nothing but problems
1988 Nissan 4x4 don't know what model (sold after less than a year)
1998 Toyota Tacoma 2wd. 1st decent car. should have kept it as it would have lasted into the apocalypse
2010 Mazda3 for 6 mos. (huge mistake on so many levels)
2010 GTI - current. still obsessed after 14 mos. of ownership, looking forward to many years together and will never go back to Jap cars.

I bought my first non-Ford vehicle (non-truck) of my life last year, a used 1999 Jetta TDI. Loved it so much I bought my second non-Ford vehicle ever - a 2011 Jetta TDI for my wife.
Decided the MKIV was too old a car for me, sold it to a neighbor kid that needed something to get to college and decided that $500/month in fuel driving my 2008 Ford F-250 was too much again and got into my 3rd non-Ford vehicle. My 2012 Golf 2.5.
Already planning on a 2015 MKVII 4-door TDI Golf for my next commuter.
