I have a 2010 GTI, and also a 2007 TT. The reason I say that is because the GTI has a lot more brake assistance, and I'm trying to determine how "normal" it is.
When switching between the cars there is a noticeable difference. Now the brake setup is different, but similar, and the TT controls in general are heavier than the GTI, eg steering.
However, my brother has a 2010 1.4 so different brakes but it has the same ABS module (not sure about booster) and the brake feel is much more similar to my TT.
The GTI additionally has an unresolved lean fuel trim issue and due to the vacuum link between engine and booster, I am trying to think creatively here.
Is it a characteristic of the GTI to have quite a sensitive/strongly assisted brake pedal feel in comparison to other similar PQ35 cars? Or is it indicative of a potential booster issue (not an easy job to remove on RHD cars).
