Ready to race!
I was bored today and had some NFC tags laying around that I never really used. Came up with the idea to make a tag with my phone number so people can call me if they find my key somewhere. It's just a sticker that goes on the fob which sends out a radio signal to your cell phone from about 5 cm away. The info then pops up on screen. They can be programmed with any information you want really.
I'm sure anyone could return a lost key to VW and they could track me down, but I'm a nerd and came up with this. Slim chance anyone will know how to use it, but you never know.
I actually have a tag on my car dock that makes my phone turn on gps, bluetooth, launch google maps, turn volumes up and disable my lock screen. Tap it again on my way out and it reverts it back. Found it useful so far.
