Oil question for winter storage.

Hey guys, quick question coming from a friend of mine.

He's about 2-3 weeks away from storing his GTI for the winter and we were both wondering if it was worth it to change the oil before the storage?

The car will be in a heated garage sitting on concrete if that matters.

My assumption is, it would be better for him to wait after the winter storage, some say they do one before and after winter...

When I store a car, I usually change the oil before putting it away. Actually the fuel is more critical than the oil. If it's going to be stored with gas in it, be sure to put in some fuel stabilizer.

Yes, car will be full of gas. Any fuel stabilizer to recommend?

I generally use Stabil. I also attempt to have my last pre storage fill up to be ethanol free premium. Not sure you live in a location where you can purchase 100% gas however. Also regarding the oil change I have heard some guys say before some say after storage.
