Ready to race!
While I was changing one of the tires, I let it briefly stand up on the tire instead of laying down flat while I reached for some tools. All it took was a second and the tire went off balance and fell (RIM FACE DOWN OF COURSE!) onto my garage floor. Profanities ensued...:mad0259:

Now, winter is almost finished here so my garage still has lots of dirt and tiny bits of stone all on it. I mention this because what happened is not your typical long scratch that most think of, it's more of a rough patch from grinding into the garage floor. I did some searches and can't figure out for myself if this is something that can come out with polish (starting less abrasive and working my way up to something more aggressive) or if I'm just going to have to live with it before I throw money away on several polishes.

The spots are rough to the touch:

Any help or ideas will be appreciated, short of getting them machined again...
