Passed Driver's Ed
Hello fellow dubbers just wanted to let everyone know my GTI is done for.

Yesterday coming back from my college class at 2:00pm, I was on a
highway

going 55 mph in the far right hand lane. There are three lanes and this

lady in an xterra flew past me and right on time was a police officer that

flipped his siren on and followed her. This started and ended in about 20

seconds. I guess her nerves kicked in and she cut into my right lane and

broke as hard as she could she was 20 feet in front of me but in the

middle lane, and then suddenly she was 20 feet in front of me in my lane!

I had enough time to turn my steering wheel left a little bit to avoid my

driver's side from getting owned by the back of her car. Anyways I'm not

mechanic but I am pretty sure my GTI is a total loss. The lady had a

swollen foot, and I had minor cuts on my right arm. The good thing is the

officer on site said it isn't my fault because she was speeding and also cut

me off in traffic and broke. So I have him as a witness. Also this sucks

even more since I just got stage 1 and an intake for it also the rep led

tails.:cry:

sorry about the accident. Talk to APR about the tune ASAP, maybe they can do something for you if you get another GTI.

Hey man... you came out walking, but its the lady's fault do you have full coverage? and gap insurance? if you do worry not, her company will pay you what your gti was worth when you bought it!

Glad you're OK! Lucky you got the officer as a solid witness because if you rear ended her, she could say that it's your fault.

Btw, it's "she braked" not "she broke" lol.

Hopefully, it'll encourage her to take a public transport next time. Panicky drivers are one of the biggest dangers on the road in "unexpected" situations.

Good luck OP with everything. Perhaps it's better if it gets totalled, and you might wanna get into an R next ?
