Ready to race!
Here's a couple of pics I took today of my '67 Bug and '12 GTI. I bought the GTI a week ago Friday and I freaking love it. It's a stripper 4 door...not options whatsoever. I've had a number of VW's over the years; a 1981 Scirocco, the first '83 GTi in the state of Arkansas, and a '97 Jetta GLX VR6.
The '67 was bought by my aunt new in '67 and my Dad bought it from her in '68. It's the car I learned to drive on, as will my two sons (the oldest is pictured, yes I got a late start). It's a sweet looking and driving car, and I have to drive it every couple of weeks or so or the battery will go down. Things have come a long, long way in the last 45 years...
