I hear ya, 2005 was a rough year for the C6. They improved a lot from 07 and up, but the early guys (you and me) kinda got f'd!

My last car was a 1999 Civic SiR. I bought it new in '99 and sold it this April with 270,000 kms on the clock. It was a fantastic car, but I'm loving the GTI even more.

Question for the guys that have had a lot of cars - what do you do? I mean is it that you make good money? Or do you just buy used cars and trade them in frequently?

I would love to be able to switch cars frequently or to have more than one car at once eventually. Something practical + something thats a blast to drive instead of having to compromise (although the GTI is a pretty good compromise!)

Wow thats a ton of miles. I got 120k on my 04 spec v. You drive up and down the state alot?

Not up and down the state, but I have a 70 mile round trip commute.

A bit of a drag, but fun in the Z and almost as fun in the GTI (and much more comfortable, better mileage, nicer stereo, I could go on).
