How easy is switching cars so often, financial wise? As much as I love my GTI, I am big fan of trying out friend's car and rental cars. I just don't get how people can afford to switch cars so often? I mean, if u got money u can, but this is golf/GTI forum 30k +,- 5k cars.

I've had 60 or so cars since I was 16. Buy some tools, learn to do your own Maintenance and mods, Buy the right stuff, in the right condition and leverage that going forward. Only a handful of these were financed. Timing is everything..I've lost $$ on very few of these..

Good start!.....:w00t:

Thanks. Can't say I didn't lose some money on the allroad, the 944s, and the GLI I failed to turn into a racecar. I learned important lessons on the first three, but clearly nothing from the GLI because I'm doing the same thing again a decade later.

I learned important lessons on the first three,

You do learn some lessons along the way. My first 911 was about ready to break in half from rust. Didn't matter...It was fast and sexy and I was smitten....Moved that one along pretty quickly and learned a good lesson for the next 5.....:)

Thumbs up on the SLC. I've always been a Corrado fan, especially with the VR6. A future classic according to Top Gear UK.
