It is! I bought that hood for $60 from a dude that bought a wrecked GTI and I cut some vents into it. I bought it for the track since I overheat at the track and wanted to try some hood vents before I purchase an oil cooler.

It's actually not that bad. I'm close to doing something similar since the airflow over the radiator and intercooler is so poor on this platform. What were the results? Did it help?
