APR Presents a New and Improved Carbon Fiber Intake System

Product Page

The APR Carbon Fiber Intake System lets your engine breath! The stunning carbon fiber design rejects power-robbing heat from the engine bay and delivers an unrestrictive path for cold, dense air fed from outside of the engine bay. The system uses a high flow filter that provides excellent filtration without the restrictions, keeping the engine clean while optimizing power delivery. The system dramatically outflows the stock intake, sharpening throttle response and lessening strain on the turbocharger, all while supporting over 500 horsepower! The system installs in minutes, looks fantastic, delivers a sporty engine note, and is recommended at all stages of performance.

The APR Carbon Fiber Intake System connects to the factory turbo inlet piping, and provides substantial gains. Those looking to complete the system can opt for the optional APR Carbon Fiber Turbo Inlet pipe. The turbo inlet pipe is a continuous 80mm pipe that connects to the turbocharger via a port-matching silicon coupler. The PCV system conveniently connects to the intake via a billet aluminum adapter. Lastly, the system uses a flex coupler that allows adequate engine movement and flex.

Flow Bench

The APR Intake system dramatically out performs the factory intake system. As performance increases, so does the importance of a high-flow high-quality intake system as a large pressure drop forms between the factory intake’s inlet and outlet.

As listed in the chart, the APR Intake system flowed dramatically more than the stock unit. This trend continues to climb as performance levels increase. The APR Intake System is roughly 50% less restrictive compared to the factory intake at stage 2 power levels, and is off the charts at K04 and Stage 3 power levels. By allowing the engine to breathe, the intake system reduces stress placed on the turbocharger, lowers the intake air temperature, and allows for performance gains upwards of 15 HP with the stock turbo. As performance climbs further using larger turbochargers, so does the power gain seen with the APR Intake system!

Can the turbo inlet pipe work with the older version stage 1 apr intake? I imagine it can because they're separated by the maf.

recommended O2 spacer to mate with the APR Downpipe? And is anything else needed other than the downpipe to fit with the factory exhaust?

Arin, can I use APR lpfp kit with my APR k04 setup? Or it works with APR big turbo kits only?

i mean you could use it but you dont need it until you go big turbo kind of a waste of money

I'm going to install BT in future and this fuel system upgrade is the first step for my project only. But I am on K04 setup now and I'd like to this LPFP kit will be useful for my current setup.

Yeah it will work. It just has more overhead volume so it can supply more fuel when its requested in the big turbo files.

Arin, if it is fitted to my config, how can I connect this pump to my fuel system? Manual from official APR site show how connect it to golf R fuel system, but my awd tiguan has different type one. Fuel filter is situated inside fuel tank of my car.

I'm not sure if you can run APR LPFP correctly as mine does not. I'm ROW 2.0TSI just same as yours in Russia. Some of my friends with the same engine also have the same issue, the APR LPFP does not work. We also put a LED at APR LPFP wiring to see if it works when it's needed but it's NOT working.

It is just really weird as the pump works fine when testing but it just does not work when it's installed on our cars. Perhaps, the communication between APR LPFP controller and our car is not met correctly?

Also if we install this kit according APR manual on Golf R the APR lpfp will be between stock lpfp and fuel filter. As you know this fuel filter is a PCV in low pressure fuel system. But in my case PCV is situated inside the fuel tank with pump and filter. I really doesn't understand how I may connect this kit to my car fuel system properly.
Is it my car not compatible?

How do I export logs from the Apr Mobile Dongle App?

Its hard looking at the data on a tiny screen, would be nice to see it on my laptop.

In the logs history list, drag right on the log you want and press on the email icon, it will take you to the mail app where you can send the log file as a csv attachment to your email.
