Hi k3vbomb, yes it's 1GB, usually it's enough to use. We are looking into the 2GB RAM units, but not sure when it will release. The CPU of GA6153F is RK3188 1.6GHz Cortex A9 Quad-core, and CPU of GA7153 is Allwinner R16 1.8GHz Cortex A9 Quad-core. You can see the frequency of GA7153 CPU is higher, thanks!

Hi dcnz, as far as we know, GA6153F could not be upgraded to Android 6.0 as it's difficult and risky. The platform and framework of smart phone Android system and head unit Android system are quite different. Hope you understand, thanks.

I've only had my GA6153F for just over 3 months and it's a shame that it can't be updated. If I had known that, I would have waited for the updated version and bought that.

I did look at the specs between the two models and the only difference I can see is the CPU. Both the same specs, just different brands? If that's the case, the the GA6153F should be upgradable.

Hi dcnz, the pins of different CPU may be not the same. Even if the same, it will require different software to match correspondingly. It's not possible to upgrade, hope you understand, thanks!

I have '12 GTI and require dual fakra antenna. Is the adapter built in or does it have to be purchased separately?

Can you browse music stored on the phone VIA the headunit?

What info is displayed in the MFI?

Can I use Google Maps as navigation?

Is their a unit that runs 6.0 without DVD/CD?

I'm interested in this, but I also have an OEM VW backup camera. My question is do I need the full converter that comes with the box and stuff like this:

Or can I get away with a simple adapter like this:

It's not a cost thing, I would just prefer not to have to use 1000 pounds of wire and just run a simple RCA cable from my OEM camera to the unit using the second link. Has anyone tried this?

I'm finally ready to give up my Sirius and try this thing out.

Also, any difference buying it straight from the website instead of off ebay which is $35 cheaper?

1. You can not browse music stored on the phone VIA the headunit. But you can view the music info on our head unit while you're playing via Bluetooth music streaming from your phone.

2. The radio program and CD track can be displayed on our unit.

3. We may have an Android 6.0 unit without DVD/CD function, but not sure when.
