MK6Golf2.5
Passed Driver's Ed
Hi Everyone,
Picked up a 2012 VW Golf 2.5L in United Grey with Heated Seats as a primary practical car next to my (future) sports car. I am really impressed with this car and the power in the 2.5L for this class level is unbelievable.
This is my build thread- my goal is to make this a very nicely modified "R-Line" edition (not Golf R), more like a stylized/sport-tuned version of the 2.5L. I'll mainly be focusing on cosmetics with the exception of a cold air intake and cat-back exhaust.
18x8.5 Akita Ak-6 Black with Chrome Lip Wheels on 225/40/18 Kumho Ecsta SPT High-Performance Summer Tires
Love the wheels on this ride, and it handles so much better, especially in the rain.
APR Carbonio Carbon Fiber Intake
All I cay is WOW, from the dry carbon fiber molding to the sound and power this is one modification you must have! It has an incredibly deep roar above 3k RPM, completely transformed the sound of the car and the power is nice too!

30% FormulaOne Pinnacle Series Tint
In my opinion, the best tint option on the market. The 30% is the perfect amount of tint, as its dark enough not to be visible from the outside but from the inside there is no problem seeing at night. The ceramic tint blocks over 99% of UV rays and significantly reduces heat.
R-Line Door Sills & Seat Inserts
I wanted to spruce up the interior bit and decided I was going to do a matching R-line theme across the entire interior. The stainless steel is a good finish and adds a very nice touch when you open the door. The seat inserts didn't fit the seat (don't know why, prob cause its from china) so I put them across the dash for a little nice finish.
*Crystal Clear* Side Markers
Another quick and easy mod was to get rid of those ugly orange side markers and replace them with these crystal clear side markers. I personally don't like smoked side markers as it draws too much attention and these look very clean and match both the winter wheels and the summer wheels with chrome lip.
First Mod- Depo's "Black Cherry" Golf R LED Tail lights + debadged
First and definitely the best mod! Usually I debadge first but I decided to wait for the lights to come in to really make it stand out. The LED taillights are excellent quality and the lights are super bright. They also have the perfect amount of smoke to them. Overall I'm very satisfied and glad It was my first mod done to the car.
