H15 Bulb White Upgrade Kit...

Im not sure how many of you are running this h15 upgrade kit on your halogen lights but I just got mine today and am having major problems..

These "caps" that slide over the bulbs just dont want to seem to stay on.. Honestly, i have no idea how they are suppose to fasten or attach to the h15 bulbs. I tried twisting them onto the base of my bulbs but they still dont seem study at all.. I'm 99% sure once i drive around these caps will fall off into the headlight housing and that will be a disaster trying to fish them out :mad0259: Im trying to return them to the ebay store but if anyone has any experience with these please provide some input!

I've been using those for like a year without any issues, they stay in place just fine. Honestly I don't remember much about installing them, they pretty much just popped on there easily.

how much force did you use when popping them on? Seems like they wont fasten down to the base of the bulbs without EXTREME pressure. I even tried using alot of pressure and they still dont stay on ugh

they might not have locked into place until you actually put in the bulb and twist that so its secure, that way the bulb holds it in place? I'm pretty sure that will do it.

So you have these installed and running?

I understand the technical details about slipping covers over your bulbs or changing light temperature and the fact it might reduce actual light output.

My question is for those who have installed this do you notice a significant difference in the visibilty for drls or high beams with this kit? I don't mind sacrificing marginal reduced visibility for a much nicer colour temp. But i don't want to completely have reduced visibility to the point it's useless.

At one point I was thinking about getting these bulb caps but decided not to. I coded my DRLs off and I don't ever turn on the high-beams so I'm good.

I've seen instructions to disable DRLs without vag come but my concern is the legality aspect of doing that by not having any head lights on without turning on low beams?

Since you're in Canada, I believe it's ILLEGAL to drive around without DRLs.

no there's really not much difference with them on for output, just color. high beams are still bright as fuck and noticeably blue

Agreed. Finally got these installed correctly and so far so good. Honestly the look of my front end is awesome. Now i just need to find some low beam bulbs that will match the color of these as the silverstar zxe's do not.

Can you guys please post some pictures? The ones on the website don't really help.

I think I'll be getting these soon as I hate the yellow DRLS. How do these look with the OEM low beams? The low beams seem pretty white to me stock..

Get fogs and vag your drls off and fogs as drl on.

Problem solved. I like the yellow of the highs when i flash to pass.
