Ended up ordering the X brace. I like that it is tubular steel, seems more rigid in my mind. I like that it is simple, can pass through things under it, and also about half the price of the unibrace. Not knocking that one, i want function over form. Worst case scenario i resell it, but I think it will serve its purpose. I will let you guys know how it is.

Does the X brace actually bolt to the frame? Hard to tell in that picture, and it's not the same application.

I'd like to get a unibrace for my JSW but it looks like it would interfere with the OEM LATCH anchors on the seat back. Can anyone confirm or refute that? I've got two kids to haul around so if that's the case I guess I'll be going with the x brace.

Heard a few people have mounted it low enough to avoid having to remove the hooks. It's difficult to install but enough care would seem to do the trick.

on some cars it is possible to mount the XB low enough to keep the bag holders. It all depends on the spot welds. I was not able to mount it low enough on my car but I have seen more then a few with the bag holders still bolted on.

As far as what bar is better or provides more rigidity I would think they would be pretty similar with an edge going to the XB since it won't twist as easily.

That TyrolSport bar looks overly complicated and a little ridiculous

I like tyrolsport, but that brace looks like a baby gate wedged in there.
