HYDE16 Reviews - deAutoKey 1800 Lumen CREE LED Fog Light Kit

Ok, you have to tap into your wires, and you have to cut your adapter to get the LED headlights to work.

However, we have an H7RC HID Kit, this is made for your reflector housings:

With this, you only have to tap into your wires, but you DO NOT have to cut your adapters as these will come with adapters.

We hope this makes sense, please let us know if it did not.

Thank you:thumbsup:

What do you mean by "tap into your wires"? What is involved with this? Can you post a picture?

Do you have yellow bulbs like this for the fog lights?

I upgraded my halogen bulbs to PIAA bulbs (Xtreme white plus and plasma ion yellow) and they are brighter than stock, but still not as bright as an HID bulb. I been considering HID retrofit for a while, but with the lack of quality on the housings with peeling and condensation, I am hesitant to spend $500 on them. I have also been completely against putting HID bulbs into reflector housings since I will be blinding oncoming drivers.

These seem like a nice compromise between both.

I had my Morimoto resistors installed on the bottom of the foglight housing for about 3 years and when I looked at them they were still there and left zero damage.

You only have to tap into your wires if you are installing HID in your headlights, DIY is the same as the Passat B7:

For fogs, you don't have to tap into your wires:

Mine are still running perfectly strong, I love the light output.

There is no true yellow LED color.

But adding lumen-x makes for a nice yellow output.

Also, white is better for cutting through fog vs yellow, we are still not sure where or why they have said yellow is better, testing shows white will increase visibility over yellow in fog.

I might sound like an idiot here but I have to ask. Your headlights are not a part of this kit? What kind of headlights are ya using ? I love the look but IIwould want to do these fogs and new headlights at the same time so the crappy stock ones don't look weird with led fogs lol

Those are the bi-xenon headlights.

You can do the h7rc HID kit so it better matches the fogs:
http://deautokey.com/product/mk6-gt...kit-full-set-including-adapters-and-resistors

It requires the adapters/splicing into your wires, everything is included in the kit, you might also require upping volts to 13.7v with VCDs.

If you are going the HID route, you can also do an HID fog instead of the led:

This will better match.

Hey Hyde: how did you free float them?

I literally zip tied them so they hang and don't make contact with anything.

Okay! Will give that a shot today!

Thanks Hyde! Thanks DeAutoKey!
