Do Mk6 golf r tail lights fit mk6 golf gti/d?

I’ve just purchased my first golf, a mk6 gtd. My first exterior mods I was hoping to get some blacked out badges and rear tail lights. Does anyone know if the mk6 r tail lights fit the mk6 gti/d?

They will fit, just depends on if you are getting OEM or aftermarket as far as avoiding the bulb out error without coding. Aftermarket ones usually come with harnesses to plug in and add resistance.

Do yourself a favor and after you blackout your rear badge, fix it.....

I was looking at getting the r tail lights of a wrecked r. Would that work?

If they are LEDs you will need a wiring harness adapter with built in resistor, OR the VCDS cable to disable bulb out errors.
