I have one on my car now and I would recommend you guys sell the one without the nipple, it hangs below the oil pan. May be cutting mine off with the dremmel.

Depending on what oil pan you have/gasket thickness (or adding another) on the plug will determine the location on your valve.

Location isn't much of a problem (if you mean orientation), but the angle is. It points down kinda like this /, just a little less of an angle. Would just be safer on the GTI at least if the nipple wasn't in a position to hit the ground before the oil pan scrapes.

if you are tucking tires or anywhere less than half a finger wheel gap.

this nipple is not for you as it hangs super close to the floor.
