The battery was completely dead, so I
replaced it with a new one. It now starts
and runs for 1 second, then cuts out
with the dash messages "Brake Fault,
Workshop", and "Driver assist button faulty"
etc. On top of this I can't get my OBD reader
to work. I've also noticed the windows don't
work.
I'm wondering if this sounds like confused
error codes after being dead for so long, an
immobiliser issue, or whether it's probably
indicative of worse problems (wiring
corrosion or dead ECU, related to the
mould)?
It's a 2010 VW Golf, 1.4 TSI. Any
suggestions are greatly welcomed!
