Multiple Errors - including airbag, autohold and ACC

Hi guys,

My mk7 has recently developed a load of issues and our local garage aren't able to help and the main dealership they referred me to can't look at it until next month. I'm obviously worried about the airbag. I've tried replacing the battery but it hasn't fixed the issues.

Any suggestions would be very much appreciated.

It's certainly not something i've done. We've had the car for over 2 years and had no real trouble and the issue just popped up one day in the middle of a long drive. Could I ask why you think it could be a battery installed backwards? Is there any possible solution that I might be able to try?

Not that the battery is currently installed backwards, as the car wouldn’t be able to run if that were the case….. but maybe it was attempted to be installed backwards at a certain point in time… as this would blow fuses, trigger many sensors, throw codes and render certain electronics incapable (like electronic power steering) due to blown fuses immediately thereafter the terminals being installed incorrectly.

I don’t think this is the problem with your car now, as you’ve described it happening in the middle of a long drive.

I had to replace the module and fix it all. In my case, found an used one on ebay

Anyone have a VCDS scan? I've had 12 modules give error messages and VCDS pinpointed the issue. Never noticed a OBDII scan do that.
