hey there yeh i got a twist in january there. im well pleased with it and yeh the extras added into the deal are well worth it. hifi system is very good. one thing i will say is the alloys are a bit small! hence the reason i changed to 18inch r line alloys:)

I'm hopefully getting one in the next few days. Seemed great value to me.

Does it come with the 'TWIST' lettering on the back as I've noticed some 'MATCH' versions do ?

Thanks

The Golf Twist is quite a decent car, as others mentioned due to the additional kit (armrest, upgraded stereo) and Atlanta alloys thrown in it doesn't look at all cheap compared to the S models. You also get an "Anti-Roll" brake for a few seconds on a incline - can be handy for city driving!

The only gripe I would say is the 1.4 engine does need a bit of work to get going, it can be boomy when you want to get a move on! Otherwise the rest of the car is spot on, lovely to drive, refined and is actually not bad to insure and run.

I really like my Golf Twist, I had mine in Reflex Silver though kind of ruing not going for Candy White! I did mod mine to have Golf R Taillights on my Golf Twist. Can be funny seeing GTIs with their stock taillights while my humble Twist has LEDs in comparison! (They tend to have a good look at my car too!) :)

You just get the Golf badge at the back, no TWIST badge but I prefer that tbh.

^ Would like to know about those lights too :)

Don't know about you guys but the fuel consumption is beginning to become a problem for me. Still <700 miles though so will hang on in there and hope it improves. Otherwise, all's good with the car.

Ready to race!
If you speak nice to your local VW dealer parts department
or better still imo a local TPS depo trade desk (in person)
http://www.thetradepartsspecialists.co.uk/
You should be able to sweat talk them into getting ~25% off retail but they still come in at around £450.
Then you need the adaptors from German ebay. ~£35 (works out cheaper than making your own with VW parts)

Which model have you got? My car is the GT TSI. If I drive like a prick I get 295 Miles out of a tank, If I drive well (still using some acceleration etc) i get 360 to the tank. Motorway driving i can get 420 (driving at 72mph on cruise control too) . Thats the best I can get it to.

Hi sorry for the late reply. Yeah I bought my Golf R LED lights from the dealer, they offered the whole set for £478.97 inc. VAT and 10% discount which isn't that bad as the price at the time was on par to those selling on eBay. Not to mention being backed with VW parts guarantee should anything go wrong with it. Though I bought mine in March so prices might have changed recently.

The LED lights set I got are designed for UK roads (Left Hand Traffic), the part numbers are:

V5K0 945 095 L
V5K0 945 096 L
V5K0 945 093 Q
V5K0 945 094 AE

The cables are bought separately from Kufatec.de and I also bought their Diagnostic Car Interface which corrected the bulb out error and stopped the LEDs flickering on dipped beam mode as I didn't have VAGCOM. Hope this helps!
