Hey all, this is just going to be a time line of my new (to me) GTI.
I currently live in Kansas, and I'm in the Army. I used to have a 2008 Rabbit, pictured here, that was totaled due to an accident on the rain. It had full OEM votex front, sides, and rear, FK coilovers, carbonio intake, OEM bi-xenons and more. Fun car, but I definitely like the GTI more.
Mods done by previous owner (that I can see):
Plastidip Front and Rear emblems
Plastidip Detroits
Red Led interior lights
Red LED rear turnsignals
Red LED license plate lights
Blue tinted bulbs in lowbeams, highbeams/DRL, city lights, and foglights. Just poor light output
Some random "intake" (just a silicone bend and a filter, not quality at all)
Resonator deleted
APR tuned
Unsure of which tune it has, but APR says they have the car on record and I need to purchase a warranty transfer
Mods I've done:
Removed plastidip from emblems
Removed front and rear GTI emblems
Replaced interior red LEDs with normal incandescent (going to get white LEDS, couldn't stand the red)
Replaced lowbeam, foglight, and city light bulbs with normal halogen
Replaced red led license plate lights (super illegal) with my OEM Porsche housings from my Rabbit
Replaced red LED rear turnsignals with amber bulbs
OEM euroswitch
Yellow lamin-x foglights
And VAG-COM tweaks
And finally a couple pictures of the car
When I first got it, with my mother's JSW
And today
As of right now first major mod is going to be coilovers. After driving low for years the stock ride height is killing me
I'm torn between a few sets
FK Street lines
Solo-Werks S1
Raceland Primos
Pwrhaus
Unsure of which but kinda leaning towards the FKs cause I had silver lines on my Rabbit
