nor-cal DSG service?!?! $379 is not ok.

So as expected my dealer wants an absolute rapish amount for a DSG service.
$379!!! Just for the dsg. So the other things at 40k will make it well over $800 which is retarded.

I do my own work for most things and would normally do it on the DSG since it's pretty straight forward, but I don't want to void the powertrain or risk a chance of doing so.

So to make a long story short... where is the best place to do a DSG service in Norcal?

I went to a local euro shop and they did it for $250.

If done by a proper shop no. I don't want to risk doing it myself and them proving to them that I did it right.

Not sure where you're getting your numbers, but $250 for a DSG service is pretty damn good. The materials alone are expensive. I shopped around for a while in the Bay Area and the best I found was $325.

$200-$250 is the cheapest independent price range I've seen locally in my area, with all materials and labor included.
