Custom Headlights

So here is a mod i have done. Baked my headlights removed the lens, and it was hard to do because of the perma seal and installed Halo lights and painted the Bezel with red. The camera dont show how red the angle eyes really are.

Jason, it looks great, the orange color in the picture is perfect :thumbsup:, BUt beware that in some areas of Canada they have laws against using red lights on the front of a licensed road vehicle.

Hey! I'd be super interested in your process for opening up the lights.. I have a set of Morimoto H1's that I want to retrofit in a couple months, but was worried about the permaseal. Did you just bake and work at it slowly?

Very nice work. Looks like a clean install. Count me in as interested in any tips you can share for getting the permasealed lenses off.

Hi everyone, thanks. The way i did it was pre-heat the oven to 270, baked for 20 mins took them out and started to pry on one corner for a few mins making sure not to pry to hard. When the glue stopped being soft maybe 4 mins i put them back in for 15 mins and continued to pry, note start on the bottom of the light so that if you damage the black portion it wont be viable.I put mine in 3 times and when i had 1/4 of the light open the rest came off with little force. i put them back in for 5 mins to straighten the parts that were bent. After putting the angle eyes in and hooking them to the drl i painted the 3 different parts, reassemble and i used retro rubber back in for 15 mins at 270 also preheated and installed the lens making sure it was in the factory position.

I takes passions so if you have to put them in the oven 5 times do it. It took me 1 hour the first one and 45 mins for the second one. Check out fly ryde on you tube he helpped me a lot.

And im just waiting for the cops to pull me over, im hopping that if it happened i can just turn my head lights on and he wont see the halo, lol. The way they are hooked up is to the DRL so when i use my headlights the angles eyes turn off
