Anyone else installed an inline heater on their Golf yet?
I'm curious because I just had one installed on my '10 GTI and now the car is taking longer than usual to warm up (not when the heater was plugged in, but on warmer days when the heater wasn't used.)
Before the install, the temp gauge would stay at the bottom for a bit, but once it started to move it would head to 90 degrees pretty quickly and stay there.
After the install, the needle still goes to 90, but gets there much slower and you can watch it creep slowly all the way up. It's almost like the thermostat is stuck open.
Any idea whether this is just a normal side effect of the inline heater or maybe something got messed up on the install?
