MK6 GTI Muffler Delete?

Do you think stage 1 affects the sound of the muffler delete? It seems that cars w/ stage 1 tunes who have muffler deletes have a slightly deeper tone that's less raspy in my opinion. Might just be me though.

I think it does, my friend and I both thought it sounded deeper when I drove off after getting the tune. Glad to see we weren't the only ones who noticed

Do you have a 2.5" Y Pipe? And do you think yours is raspy?

Not sure, the previous owner did the work on it and I kept it because I thought it sounded pretty good. Not sure on the size but from the looks of it, it might be the stock exhaust with just the muffler cut out. Not sure if the resonator is cut too since its not that loud but, I wouldn't describe it as raspy at all. It's a pretty low tone if that makes sense

I already have a resonator delete on mine and I have an unused Y pipe that I could use to bypass the muffler near at the rear of the car so fewer gasses will be idling under the car. Is it worth it to install the Y pipe or should I go for a standard muffler delete?
Also are either of those worth it if I don't adjust the intake?
