How much weight can GTI hold?

I currently bought a 2 door GTI VI. On the weekends I usually DJ and my equipment weighs about 250 lbs. I have noticed that the back of the car lowers a bit because of the weight. I am just wondering if this will damage the suspension over time.

I can't imagine that weight would damage the suspension, particularly if it's a once or twice a week event. If you were leaving the equipment in there 24/7..... maybe?

If you're concerned, you could spread it out a bit and put some records in the passenger seat.

Ouch. DJing without records is like using a keytar. It may sound okay, but the cool factor is so not there.

Thanks for the feedback everyone. Records are old school. Now us DJ's use a program called serato which lets you use any turntable to controls mp3's on a hard drive. Its exactly the same feel as using records. The only difference is the sound, vinyl is smoother and soothing to the ear.
