It would connect at the MAF housing. The secondary air intake (not pictured) is only needed if your car is a CBFA engine.

For stage 1, what gains do you really see? Throttle response? Mpg? Both? I've never looked at stage one intakes lol I've always looked at full intakes but this is a decent price

In my opinion, some throttle response, mostly sound and show. I’m not saying it’s not worth it. I love mine. (New style) Just don’t expect huge gains. Also note that these intakes are among the most subtle as far as sound. You can hear it but it isn’t overly loud. Which I prefer but, different strokes for different folks.

You might see some small gains in mpg. I changed tires before I got mine which affected my gas mileage negatively, so I can’t say for sure.
