If one we're to do this, what is a range of parts required to run an external oil cooler that works for our cars?

This is what I made. The CNC oil sump and oil pump are out of ebay. All in costs around $700 at time it was made. Installed on Aug 2017, tested twice on trackdays on Oct 2017 and April this year. This oil sump indeed solves oil starvation issue that I have. For over 40 laps, none of oil pressure low limp mode happened. In addition, the setup won't give extra load to engine's oil pump as of conventional sandwich plate setup does. Basically I can use as big as 25 row oil cooler if space permits.
However I still have issue with inconsistency of circulation pump control - the 90-95C thermo switch will operate normally at when the car is in idle or in slow traffic (low air flow). During trackdays, I have to switch ON the bypass switch to continuously run the oil pump/cooler.
