so i switched out my winters for my all-seasons yesterday and now i'm hearing a very loud humming noise coming from the car. i can't really tell which tire it's coming from, i tried opening each window one at a time but it didn't really help.
under 30mph it's pretty loud, but above 35mph it disappears and the car drives normal. there's no shaking or anything.
i looked up some videos on youtube and the one that resembles most is a bad wheel bearing. however, most of those videos the sound seems to get worse when they go faster.
i also tried the wiggle test, the the wheel will not budge.
i suspect i might have messed something up when i swapped one of the tires -- i didn't jack the car up high enough, and as i loosened one of the bolts the tire popped out slightly and the car fell about 1/2 an inch. could this have damaged the wheel bearing?
