Auto reving engine

Hey guys,

After cleaning carbon buildup, I've noticed that after hard acceleration, engine starts to run roughly and it auto revs even when in gear and driving. Sometimes it even revs to 3k rpm and stays there for couple of seconds.

After driving around for couple of minutes, engine calms down and everything is back to normal.

Any ideas what could be wrong here?

Car has 90k miles/150k km, 2014 model, manual, completely stock.

Based off that video it leads me to believe it’s your PCV. My car did the same thing and that’s what the fix was.

Like DAS said, sounds like PCV. Check the diaphragm and if it's torn, get the RKX Tech one. I would also upgrade to the latest revision PCV if you aren't already too.
