cold start engine RPM?

all my previous cars have the same pattern, when cold start, the engine RPM would go to around 2000 then gradually drop. the GTI is doing a bit differently, it goes to 1500 but drop to a little over 1000 immediately, stay there for about a minute, then drop to idle.

I would like to know if your cars are doing the same, or it is something I need to talk to the dealer?

I believe that is totally normal. Mine does the exact same thing.

It is normal, no need to get worried about it. No one likes to exert themselves cold, a good warm-up makes things easier
