There are a few things about TR's test. IIRC they only test them at the placard pressure, so no adjusting for optimum pressure. They do mount them slightly pinched(245 on 8s), so probably more applicable to Street class car then the GRM test. Also note that the surface is asphalt(most National sites are concrete)
Also about the Rival S. If BFG made the tire based on their post-National test last year at Lincoln, there is still a chance that BFG might work better there, taking into account of the rubber laid down and how the tire works with that. Which was the biggest problem with the original Rival.
