Gearbox clunk noise when shifting gear

Hi,

I have Golf mk6 1.6 diesel and when i try to shift in 1 gear sometimes i feel double clunk,and sometimes when switching to reverse i fell another clunk at the end of the path of the shifter. What should I do? Any suggestions?

P.S.This is not happening all the time.

Still learning the mk6 layout coming from RWD but trans/motor mount might not be torqued down all the way or broken? Unless you're talking just when you move the shifter, in which case its probably just the counter weight slapping around and totally normal. Could also be cable ends I suppose.

Are you outside the powertrain warranty? Have VW check it out if you're concerned.
